For an inexpensive freewheel (I wish that vendors would stop improperly calling these freewheel cassettes) the TZ500 is typical Shimano Touney level construction - stout, functional, if not a tad heavy. I have not yet mated it to the index shifters, I am awaiting a frame cable stop to do so, but these shift perfectly with a TZ Tourney type derailleur and the original friction shifters. I am hoping these will index as expected, if not, I will update this post review. Used to convert a late '70's Raleigh from 10 to 12 speed with index rather than friction shifting. Required a single washer as a shim between the bearing race and lock nut to clear the frame, fit right into the original drop outs. The 14x28 gear set is my favorite for casual trail riding for both 6 and 7 speed freewheels, wish they still made this combination in 7spd cassettes (discontinued, but I found a couple 13x26 and 13x28 which is close enough). I bought this MF-TZ20 freewheel sprocket to replace an old worn MF-Z012 sprocket. Fit and function is as good or better than the original. Shifting has improved greatly and along with a new chain this setup is whisper quiet.
