It's a good everyday / light cleaning vacuum. We have a dog that sheds A LOT. I was getting tired of lugging around my huge pet-hair specific vacuum every couple days. This one picks up the pet hair perfectly, and is much lighter. It does not have a huge compartment but it is easy enough to empty. The cord could be longer, but it isn't unreasonably short. This performs well on tile and hard floors, and can be used to lightly clean carpet and area rugs. I wouldn't recommend it just for carpets, you'd need something with more suction power. Overall, I am happy with this purchase.

We have a couple of the battery powered Shark vacuum cleaners that work well for what they can do and a Kenmore canister vacuum for heavier cleaning. Our floors are all hard and the major problem is three cats. So I was looking for something to replace the canister for the heavier jobs. From other reviews this looked like what we wanted. And as a vacuum cleaner it does a good job, BUT it is so inconvenient that it will probably not replace the canister. The first problem is that for someone with weak wrists it is quite the opposite of light. OK, so I get to do all of the heavy vacuuming, but it is awkward for that - the cord is not long enough and there is no convenient way to stand this vacuum when moving the power cord from one outlet to another. Sad!

I bought this one online because local and box stores have different versions which are not as good. This is the HV322. There are important differences between the Hv301 -Hv302 - Hv322. This one has the multi pet tool, led lights which makes a bigger difference than one may think; wide upholstery tool, rotating brush, XL Dust cap that the others don't have. Having dogs, this one made the most sense. *it does not have the car detailing tools. Does not have dual storage. Hv301 has "never lose suction" - read the reviews on this feature. It is very good at getting up all the dog hair and dust from both carpet and wood laminate floors which have a wood grain feel. I vacuum twice a week because I have to dogs. I only have to empty the debris once for the hard floors and rugs but because I have old carpet in two rooms, I have to empty twice. Our house is a little over 1300 sq ft to give an idea of area. I prefer this corded vac because I have had a cordless before and I could not get the whole house done in one charge. It would be nice to have a way to stand it up on it's own or a station to attach it to. Attachments are good but you have to find a place to store them because they don't attach. I usually don't keep attachments connect to my vacs anyway. Having the detachable handvac means more weight at the top at just under 9 lbs. Considering I went from the shark Rotator Power Lift, this is a HUGE improvement. Read full review

*Easy to maneuver. Can get under furniture and the attachments are a snap to use for even harder-to-reach spaces. *The roller brush does such a better job of getting all the dust off of hardwood and tile floors. None of my other vacuums have ever been able to clean these surfaces this well and I had a similar Shark before this one. *The price was the best part! Cannot beat this quality of a product for such a low cost! Very pleased with it in every way!

If you want a HV322 TruePet this is the one you want. The ones from mid-2017 on don't have half the accessories that this one has. You can also store it upright if you pull it apart. The new ones are short $80 of accessories which include the powered pet brush. Works great for stairs. My wife wanted a corded shark that works well on stairs. This is it. The corded ones wouldn't last long enough to get the job done and they are much heavier. This is a good package for the price.
