A GREAT DVD for youngsters to watch while being fed or having to stay indoors in the "bad" weather. Great for adults as well! I bought this for my grandson and before I knew it we were watching it several times a day and I was singing the songs in the car - by myself. While the voices can be somewhat harsh, the lessons are gentle. He loves Elmo and I do feel he has been exposed to a lot through this video. Education is not just about the three "R's". In this DVD he learned about body parts, tap dancing, counting - many things that have helped make him a well-rounded boy. Got kids? They like Sesame Street and Elmo? Then this is a MUST. Saves money, by compiling the best scenes and skits all into one dvd. Excellent for buying those precious 30minutes of peace and quiet!
This is one of the best Elmo videos out there for your kid! I know, I got it for my now 18 month old twins a few months ago and they absolutely LOVE this DVD. It's one I can either crash in the recliner to watch with her, or leave her to watch it while I do chores. This is the ONLY DVD that she will watch for the entire length of it! I have even restarted it with her still in her "Elmo trance" and she still didn't budge! This has been her best Easter present! My daughter loves anything musical, and this has fun, catchy little ditties from beginning to end. We rotate this one with several other Elmo videos--for mom and dad's benefit, not the little one's! (she could watch it every day!) If you have a little Elmo fan in the house, you MUST own this video!
I love all of the Sesame Street DVDs...they are cute, age appropriate for any age...& they pack a lot of positive information both educational, & morally speaking into each video. It is a great resource for teaching small children...& as an adult I can actually stand to watch them & even enjoy them as opposed to most kids stuff now that is basically fluff on the tv...no real point. Sesame St. stuff has a great point as it teaches kids lots of stuff...languages arts, mathematics, spelling, reading, science, personal relationships, community service, moral aptitude, etc etc etc!!! :)
Elmo is a the greatest, my two year old begs to watch him evey day several times a day, I feel it is wonderful she is learning while she is kept greatly entertained. She will watch this ten or more times a day if she could, She enjoys the songs and loves to count. I enjoy this is wholesome, fun, and not mindless dribble that the kids agreed somuch of these days. As a parent and grandparent it is important to me to keep trash out of their little minds and fill their heads with the joy of learning without worrying about the contents. This Dvd assures me the contents are pure in nature and of a great moral standard. I am very pleased with these shows for my very impressionable toddlers. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who has babies.
I don't know who developed Elmo for Sesame Street, but if I could meet them I'd say Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. My nephew watched it and it helped him learn his numbers(he's 15 now) and my daughter who is now 2 is learning hers. She goes around the house singing the 5 song as she holds up her hand and tells me there are five fingers on a hand. If any parent wants to get a break for 30 minutes (and what parent doesn't) get the best of Elmo. It is a timeless classic, and your child will actually learn something.
