Just because its older doesn't mean its out if date- Old reference books like this, with color throughout seerve as a super and inexpensive way to get up to speed- I bought this after I picled up an old collection of seashells at an estate sale-Wrapped in 1949 California papers- Now I have a go Idea of what a good deal I got - on both the shells and the Book. Find one for yourself. Such a deal.

I bought this book to ID about 40 shells a friend got as a gift from Baja. We ID'ed them all. The desciptions and paintings of the shells are beautiful. This book is as good or better than if they were photos. Though it is an older book, it is great.
