I purchased this hard drive to replace a smaller one that came with my DELL Desktop. So far the hard drive has been suppurb. Quick and easy install and outstanding performance. I am very pleased with the purchase and you won't find one for a better price. Outstanding!
Its a hard drive. it does what it is supposed to do. fast, quiet, good. It installed in my Dell very easy, esay to configure. i downloaded a utility from the seagate website and it was very helpful.
Hi Everyone: _ I bought 4 of this item (hardrive 400 Gb) for first time . Beacause of ,the old hardrive ( 750 Gb )of my computer make noise when it run . So, I hook up Hardrive 400 Gb to Sata 1 connector and I installed Window 8 into hardrive 400 Gb and this hardrive run very quiet ( It doesn't make noise ) and DVD Rewrive to Sata 2 and hardrive 750 Gb to Sata 3 connector ( I want this hardrive such as spare hardrive that it store more files in case hardrive 400Gb full( no free space) . _ My computer has hardrive 1,150 Gb ( 400Gb + 750 Gb = 1,150 Gb ). _ Hardrive 400 Gb run very fast and smooth and quiet ,I am so very happy with this hardrive that I bought 3 more these hardrives 400 Gb . _ I feel very happy to recomend to anyone who want to install this hardrive to their computer .
i successfully formatted win xp x64 w/ this hard drive for my mobo and have seen no problems yet. the only concern that i have is that the hard drive spins louder than any other hard drive i've used in the past, just a side note. its a good product for cheap.
