This is the original hard disk used on some older Dell PowerEdge Servers. I recommend buying new if possible. They are dirt cheap now that they are made obsolete. These are a great bargain to add to your old PowerEdge Server.
The disk is renewed officialy from Seagate. With Intel controler we made storage place based on raid 50 with 6 disks. We replaced the failed disk with this renewed one. It is the same model and has same type and size. The controler recognize disk type and model but not the size. The same problems occur on controler from other manufacturers (Adaptec and Promise) So it was waste of time and money.
