"I had a 180 GB, hard drive and had it for years, till bad sectors finaly made it not possible to work with, so I ordered a 500 GB hard drive , I see the Seagate hard drive on here and for the price it was a snatch to buy, my brother is an IT tech, and he installed this Seagate hard drive in for me, the item states that it was new, but it soon revealed that there was a problem with it and it was shown that there was a bad sector on it like a file that was preventing it from loading the new software upon my computer, after a slow long format, it worked, apart from that hiccup the seagate is a good internal hard drive and is working brilliantly, well worth the money, it pays to shop around and certainly on ebay one can get a bargain, and that is whats it's all about.
It’s personal, I have used Seagate hard drives for many years from the old SCSI and IDE to the new UW SCSI and SATA drives and purchased this drive as an upgrade. Seagate also provide a wonderful little utility for copying your old drive data to your new Seagate byte by byte, I have used it loads of times and its one of the coolest free utilities I have ever used. The drive I purchased 500gb Seagate 7200 RPM is fast and quiet, I was so impressed that I purchased two more. The service from this eBayer is really good the goods arrived on time all of the time. I was asked to review this product and write what I didn’t like about it, I am sorry to let eBay down but I can’t find a fault. Oh and they have a three year warranty and 16MB cache.

Seagate finally fixed issue with failing hard drives version 7200.11 (I have 4 of them and 2 failed before Seagate released fix for it). Fortunately this new version (7200.12) and as far as I know is free from old problems. I can recommend it.
