Not the best movie in the series, but a fitting closing to the franchise.
The seventh, and so far last installment in the popular Saw franchise follows similar formats and structures that can be found in the previous installments. It leaves a couple of unanswered questions and the traps are a little more over the top than in the previous movies (due to the 3D nature of the movie), but it does a nice job wrapping up the series for fans who have made it through the previous movies. It ties together certain plot lines and leaves answers for the fate of certain main characters, giving the audience just enough to leave the movie satisfied. They will not leave the movie completely satisfied, but after such a long franchise, that is very hard to do.
The Saw movies are awesome. I think its the coolest horror franchise since Friday The 13th. But all good things must come to an end. In Saw 3D The Final Chapter, the blood and gore has never been so intense. I dont want to give away too much, but the traps in this chapter are really violent. And one thing Ill tell you is We get to see what Jigsaws reverse bear trap on the head actually does to a person, pretty gore. And the ending is cool, unexpected, and really explains the whole deal. Id say check it out if You love the Saw movies, or if Youre a horror fan in general You wont be disappointed.
I love the SAW series but was a little disappointed that Jigsaw had such a little part, no Amanda, and did'nt care that Dr. from Saw 1 came back--- just would'nt have happened that way if you follow the storyline through all 7 Saw movies. I imagine they WILL do another Saw film-despite saying they won't. I'm still happy I bought the collection of Saw movies and this one (Saw7). !!!
