Okay so, this one is for all the non-ipod fans. If you dont know already, ipods are too expensive, they only have limited memory 16gb, 32 gb, etc. So for me to pay $455 dollars for a device to play music, your crazy, i could buy a small flat screen tv or buy a ps4 or thats could be for gas money. So I use to have a philips gogear vibe-excellent mp3 but no expandable sd slot. So i got the SANDISK SANSA CLIP ZIP , i must say it is great. Yes you can see thru the micro usb slot from the aux port. but other than that its great. You get expandable memory up to 32 gbs plus u can get 64 gb but u have to format it to FAT32. This is one of the best mp3 players. It has a nice stylish design the click pad is quiet and sturdy. over all the build quality is pretty sturdy but what the heck are you gonna do, throw it in mid-air? Well it probably survive the impact. I suggest getting a screen protector for it, the glass scratches easily for semi scratches ( very very very light scratches nothing to crazy)Read full review
I bought this tiny little clip-on MP3 player since, for its price and size, the amount of features it boasts is off this world good. I could boost the memory up to 20 GB pretty cheaply with a micro SD card. I could record audio with the integrated mic which is so good you can record a lecture from behind the class with clarity and little noise. I could listen to and record FM radio. And the sound quality and battery life were on-par if not better than with the new iPod Nano. It's all about design though, and that's where iPod really beats the living crap out of Sandisk and most competitors. ITunes-deprived, I must've spent eight hours trying to sort my music on this thing through excruciatingly long folder and software operations which on the long run didn't change anything: my albums always remained mixed up and album art would stay hidden most of the time. What a dealbreaker. It didn't help that the terrible included software didn't even work. What a shame. And why does nobody ever point out the terrible physical factor of this MP3 player? It's so plasticky you can just feel it squeaking inside your hand when you're trying to hold it, the clip is so horrible it feels like it could break off to the side at any moment when you hold the device like you would hold any mp3 player. The screen generates a high pitched sound, kinda like a broken computer screen. You can see out of the usb port when you look through the headphone jack. It really should sell like hotcakes because theorically, it seems formidable, but you really do get what you paid for in terms of design, both electronic and physical. Go for the 16 GB nano and buy a mic dongle on amazon instead if you want the voice recording.Read full review
The new clipJam is far inferior. The ClipZip is much easier to use. Color screen and better AI.

After dropping my phone too many times, I needed a small player that could withstand some abuse and would not fall out of my pocket easily. This mp3 player clips on and stays on, and it's also lightweight enough that it stays connected to my headphones in case I snag it onto something and does not fall to the ground. It stores a lot of files, I use Rhapsody and the transfer can be a bit tricky sometimes but I manage it just fine. Has an equalizer that I can customize and the presets are useful as well. Overall, I couldn't have asked for anything else in terms of a music player and usability.

Great little player. Perfect for the gym or a run. Clip holds firm anywhere and the sound is very good. Menu is easy to learn and all the settings are easy to get to. Has a customizable equalizer or you can use the presets. Battery life is okay, nothing great. Probably 10-12 hours. Recharge via USB or you can look on ebay and purchase an A/C charger. Highly recommended.
