So--after 6 weeks I think I made up my mind: I rather like this phone and recognize it as a niche device. I've had 'dumb-phones' for years; now that I've got this phone, I've noticed a short-comings: Battery life can easily go below 30% when using all the features (graphics, gps, web, ect.). If you us it to mainly make and recieve phone calls, then battery levels shouldn't go much below 70% in a day's time. I don't believe I've found every feature yet; I'm still finding things on this device. I like the pen feature, but I don't use it as much as I thought I would when I first bought this little machine. I definitely like the large screen, and I mainly like the aspect of having a 'small portable computer' that I can carry around in my pocket. The phone volume is not so good--I tend to use speaker volume for phone calls (it's easy for me to just lay the phone down on a table while I get up and walk around while I talk). I'm not the biggest talker around: if you are, then the size of this handset may be a problem for you--it is awkward to manipulate this device single-handedly while you get, and make phone calls on the road--you do not want to drop this device. Right now, if I had it to do over, I wouldn't change anything--I'm fairly content with this handset.Read full review
plain & simple a great smart phone! does everything I need it to do. I love being able to use "Wi-Fi" on it because I only have an at & t go phone acct. I don't get any data packages because I (myself) don't have a need for it away from my pc at home. Wi-Fi downloads do however allow me to access my bank accounts, credit card acct.s, of course my e-bay acct., does sometimes download REALLY SLOW, but that's Wi-Fi, to be expected I guess. great big screen for videos, takes nice vids. & pic.s. very nice to be able to add free app.s onto it (represented as "icons" on the multiple screens, (not sure if i'm making sense verbally, i'm far from a "tech. guy"). anyhow, for me it's a great smart phone, got good price via e-bay, haven't had a problem yet. hope I didn't just jinx myself, L.O.L., nice & big but for me not too big. got belt case & holster, a bit more cumbersome than smaller phones, bit heavier as well. winter time w/bulky jackets I use my at & t fusion now (it's cold in DE. now)'cause it's easier to get to from a jacket, plan on using the note on as my phone on my belt holster when weather gets nicer & able to have easier access to it w/lighter clothing. i'm really happy w/it! TTFN oh yeah, battery life sucks when using Wi-Fi or watching videos for extended times, could consider getting better quality nic-cad battery though. but battery life = just great when only using it for calling or texting!Read full review
The phone has a very large display all the time, easy use, touch display also prompt but not fast as to compare with galaxy S3,S3 out beat note I7I7 with battery, pixel and speed, there is no doubt about it.,this phone does not have a strong battery, last a day and half or less if it gets intensive use.
I got this to replace a Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket, That was a great phone, but the deal on the Galaxy note was to hard to pass up. I do a lot of ebay as a seller and buyer so the bigger screen was the reason I wanted it. I was blown away at the features, the size the light weight, the clarity of the screen, the spen, everything about it is bigger and better then the Skyrocket. I highly suggest a GOOD otterbox case because the price to replace the screen is very high. But all the features of this phone makes it like a very portable computer. I found that most of the goodies that Samsung and AT&T put in the phone saved me from having to get as many apps from the "play store" as I had to before. The first couple times using it it feels so big, but soon you find that Samsung has made it so that things like the keyboard can be put more towards one side (your choice) so that you can try to use it all one handed, however if your that stuck on using a phone with one hand then this may not be for you, however if you want a huge feature packed, big bright screen easy to use super smartphone then find you one of these, a good case and you will never look back.Read full review
I bought this mainly for its BIG screen and brand name. The screen is bright and sharp although not as sharp as the new galaxy S3. However the screen is gorgeus and allows a big view of any web page, game, app, email. Much more than ANY other phone out there. It VERY thin and is totally pocketable. It is still a little extra sized but hey...there is a price to pay for that huge screen. I also liked the Spen because of my designer work. The battery is an issue so be prepared to find a charge spot here and there. Overall this is a GREAT phone-tablet combination that will do the job.
