The Samsung C207 available from Cingular Wireless is a great phone for the basic user. I used it for quite a while, dropped it a few times, and it still is in tip-top shape. It's small and easy to tuck away and hide in a pocket without a huge bulk. A few good things about it is that is has lots of space for games, ringtones, contacts, and graphics. A few things I do not like about it is that the ear peice seems to be very quiet. If I was somewhere noisy and it rang, I would not know if I was receiving a call unless I felt it vibrating with the Vib&Ring feature it has. The buttons are a little too close. When you download wallpapers, they do not fully show up on your screen. It cuts off the bottom of the wallpaper. Where I live, the boone docks of Virgina, the reception is only 1 bar compared to my new Motorola which has an external antenna unlike the Samsung which has an internal antenna. Overall, like I said, its a good phone for a basic user who doesn't need to use there phone often.Read full review
I like this phone a lot, it has a great color screen, feels good in your hand, is slim enough to go in your pocket. The reception is above average I believe. It also has some other nice technical features, like settings up different WAP accounts so if you say use T-Mobile and Cingular both, you can change the internet settings on the phone easily. Overall it's a cool little phone, I think I like it better than some of the Nokias I've had even, which are generally the standard in wireless phones. If you get a data cable for it, you can download free software from Samsung's website that allow you to sink up a calender, and also put images/ringtones on the phone. Overall 5/5
I have owned this phone for one year. It is a good phone for the basic user. It does not have any bells or whistles but it gets the job done. It's compact and very sturdy. I have dropped it a few times and it still works perfect. I have never had problems with reception and it has good battery life. If you're like me and don't need all the fancy stuff but just want a good basic phone this is a great option.
Tiny, cute, rainbow signal bars, still has great reception even though its Cingular. Not many features, but it makes and receives calls just fine. Great value!
My son had his phone stolen and a replacement at Cingular would have been full retail price. The cheapest was $129! We bought this slightly used CIngular locked cell phone for under $20 and a SIM for $5. Contacted Cingular to re-activate and it worked fine. The phone is very small, has all the features we need and worked great. From looking at it, there was no way you could tell it was not new out of the box.
