I have had good results with Samsung products in the past and I do believe it is one of the top suppliers of TVs and monitors. Typically, Samsung products are a little out of my price range, but I prefer their products when I can afford them. The reasons I purchased this item: Price: Excellent. It is a factory refurbished monitor and is perfect as new. I paid about 1/3 the off the shelf new price. Quality: very good picture Size: A 23 inch LED monitor in high definition Reliability to date: I have had it for a month or two and it gets heavy business use and I have had no problems with it. Features: It has fewer inputs than a TV, but I purchased it for computer use. It is very light weight. It has no tuner, being just a monitor. I would definitely purchase one again and would recommend it to others to buy refurbished for an excellent deal with a warranty which is included and an optional warranty is available for incrementally increasing number of yearsRead full review
Like to use it with the feature Multiscreen, this feature let you have a lot of like picture in picture and in each section you can have a screen/desktop/program, example in one explorer in other the music player, in other the web, in other the facebook, as much you like and as good is your view lo took small, this feature is not included in this package, I don't know the reason maybe because is refurbish, So I enter the support website of Samsung and download the manual, and programs, the movies looks great in HD 1080p connected to my video card HDMI output, this monitor have no speakers.
So far using this monitor is the best experience. It may be refurbished, but if I didn't know any better it would seem new. No scratches, no dead pixels, nothing. The tilt is easy to manage, the cable manager is really good, though the menu is kind of hard to navigate at times. I'm very seriously considering buying another. Update: After about 3 weeks of use, noticed a plasma leak on side of screen. Makes the screen brighter. Doesn't affect functionality but a nuisance. Especially since I had just bought another.
Bought it as an upgrade to replace the 17" crt I had. Only issue; the touch controls being somewhat non-responsive at times. Other than that, I'm loving this monitor. Games look awesome on it as well as movies. And, for $139, if you don't mind refurbished, the bang for buck may be as good as there is out there right now for a monitor. Check out the cnet review
The monitor is perfect. It works with both my MACs (after buying the necessary adapter) and my PC. The menu is easy to use and navigate. The stand seems to point the screen at too flat of an angle for my liking and is not adjustable which is a bummer so I marked it down one star. However, I simply slipped a small 3-ring binder under the monitor and the screen is now perfect.
