I usually try very hard to let people know what they're getting before they buy it. So, I'll do the same with this phone. I got this phone for free from a relative who works for AT&T as a replacement phone. Things to note about this phone: *There is a multi-tasking button. It's below the volume buttons. You can switch between AT&T internet browsing (HTML-looks great for a media phone!), and messaging very easily. It's not going to be as fast as, say, an iPhone 4, but if you don't want to pay the extra fee every month, it's pretty good! *This phone is touch-screen. You probably already knew this. It scratches...VERY EASILY. Get a case and/or screen protector for this phone. I promise you, you won't regret it. *The keyboard buttons really don't take that long to get used to. But, if you are a heavy texter, it can get very frustrating. The response to what I type is very slow, and it sometimes skips letters I know I pressed. Sometimes, I'll be done typing an entire sentence, and I have to wait for the phone to catch up with me before I am able to send it. *There is absolutely no way to have a signature. *There is T9 Predictive Text when you are typing without the keyboard slid out. *The lock button is easy to press and unlock, but I prefer just sliding the phone out. *There is no D-pad/up-down-left-right, which can get frustrating. You have to use your finger for everything and it can get pretty annoying when it's having a hard time responding. It usually isn't that bad, but be warned! *You can slide between pictures very nicely! I think this is a definite plus of this phone. The camera quality is better than my previous 2mp camera; this was surprising because they're both 2mp. Anyway, it has a nice camera-feel to it when you're taking pictures. Other than that, it is an "okay" phone. It has some nice features, and it has some bad features. Oh, one thing I'd like to point out The battery life is awesome! I can go for a couple days without charging it when I text a lot!Read full review
This phone has everything I need to get through my day. With a few Java applications (Opera Mini, Google Maps) it feels just like that $500 phone that AT&T charges for their high powered subscription fees. Scrolling through lists can be a problem some times with a scroll touch doing a select instead of scroll. Other times a few Java apps run slower than I would like. For the price of the phone and the messaging phone subscription fees this phone is a good companion. I bought this phone to replace another Samsung messaging phone that didn't have voice dial. With the state demanding I use Bluetooth while driving this phone has everything I need.
This phone looks good, and feels more like a smart phone in your hand. The overall layout of the home screen is average, the screen size could be a bit larger...The one thing that upset me about this phone is the touch screen. It is not as responsive as it should be. Sometimes you have to hit it a few times to get it to perform. When you scroll with the touch screen, it requires keeping your finger pressed against the screen insted of "flicking" the screen like most touch screens. The slide down querty keypad isnt at all hard to use. The buttons are more raised than most keyboards, keeping you from hitting the wrong button. The camera is a 2 mega pixel, and it's not too bad. Instead of popping up when you slide the phone open, it takes more effort to slide it...It feels more like it's rubbing too hard when it slides. Overall this phone is average. I've used much better Samsung phones, but also ones much worse. It wouldn't come close to comparing to something like an Iphone. I would compare it to be more like the Lg Xenon, although the graphics and touch responsiveness are better on the Xenon.Read full review
The Flight is an excellent phone! It has a large QWERTY keyboard, sensitive touch screen, and wonderful camera. I gave up my Digital Camera, and exclusively use my phone. With standard features like the MP3 player, GPS and internet, it is versatel enough to go anywhere. My nine year old has got it all figured out, so it is very easy to use. The Blackberry Torch is an exact copy of this phone, at half the price. Love it!
The phone works great. Good condition and minimal wear. Came with the battery and a charger. Excellent phone to keep me from wasting time on my smart phone while I'm out and about, plus it last way longer. The QWERTY keyboard makes it still easy to text when I need to and the slide feature gives it a small form factor.
