I needed an upgrade from my old Huawei ascend. I'm a med student on a tight budget so this phone is perfect for me. My other phone's problem was that it was very frail and broke easily. The admire has gorilla glass and the on screen keyboard is accurate. The camera looks better than my last phone; not something that you would replace a camera with and because there is no flash it's better used in the day time. The phone has a much sturdier looking exterior and apps are working fine on it as well. I mainly read my ebooks on my phone and the screen is 3.5", making it fairly easy to read for me. If you're looking for a phone that does video skype calling and all the other works then it is probably better that you pay the extra money to get a better phone. Overall: Very good phone if you're looking for a touch screen model that is a bit on the cheaper side.Read full review
Even though smart phones are confusing in general, I like the layout and slick design of the phone, software, and applications. The menu takes some time to get used to, but with just a little bit of diligence and no manual, I was able to figure out how to add contacts, add apps, and download music. Sometimes I don't hang up properly and then my call goes on without my knowledge but I was able to set it turn off calls with the side power button. I get my e-mails, play games, and check on my ebay all from my phone. Metro offers some free apps and so does Google Play providing you have a Google account, which you pretty much need to take advantage of all the phones apps, bells and whistles. I like it, i'm still getting used to it after about a week though and I expect it will be alittle time before I'm completely proficient. I'm not the most tech savvy person so take this with a grain of salt!Read full review
Pros: Great screen, Keyboard is fine, Camera seems fine, has a regular headphone jack, runs quickly and seems stable. Phone is lightweight but seems like it should be rugged enough. From past experience with other cell phones I do have a screen protector and protective case on mine. Cons: Compared to my Blackberry can’t find any. With a screen cover I have to press really hard on the Unlock and Call/Hangup buttons. With the protective case the Lock/Power key is physical work, but I’ve had enough broken dropped phones to struggle with that. As with all Smartphone’s make sure to charge it at night. Summary: This phone is my first android and I LOVE it. The Apps available on the market are amazing. I was able download and install a FREE Netflix and SlingPlayer app and they are running like a charm. The games OH the games! Why did I stay with a Blackberry so long?Read full review
I was very impressed with the ease of use and features offered. Loads of free apps available from the Android Market. I put a screen protector in place and had no problems with the touch screen sensitivity at all. I really liked the phones ability to interface with my wireless router. It really sped up my browsing when at home. Takes really good high quality photos. Only con is that it could have a built-in flash. This phone requires a minimum of $50/month plan from MetroPcs.
I've had this phone fora few months. I have 1 major problem with this phone and it's the memory. the memory of this phone is so low that it is next to impossible to download more then 5 apps onto the phone even moving the app to a SD card wont make a different for the simple fact when your apps needs update it wont save the update information to the SD card with the app. it will actually save the update files onto the phone itself which takes up even more memory.it does run apps like Pandora very well but some times because your memory is so low you not get any notification at all or randomly get a stream of 1 week old ones if you make room. it does have a slow internet but that's fine, everything else about the phone is ok. if they fix the memory issue this phone would be amazing.
