I purchased a new TV and needed to add a sound system. I did not want a full surround sound because I don’t have a good way to install the speakers and wires without making a mess. I purchased what I thought was a sound bar with a wireless sub woofer. I decided to purchase one that could be split into two for more flexibility. Well, I learned that it did not work as stated. It says you can place the wireless sub woofer anywhere in the room and that could not be farther from the truth. The woofer is tied to the TV and components via hard wire. The speaker bar however is wireless. After many attempts to get this system to work properly and be somewhat surround sound, I figured it out. First, you need a TV that can push out 5.1 via optical sound connection to reduce connection, complexity, with sound quality. Second, you need to realize the sound bar is the wireless component and set them up all over your TV area and test for the best sound. I ended up mounting them behind the couch on the wall about 42” from middle of the sound bar to floor. Then, you need to angle them where they project sound in the middle of the room, no small install task. The install parts are not designed to optimize angle. After all this, it works fantastic!!! You also have to learn how to synch the TV with surround sound especially in 3D mode. I would not even consider buying a sound bar that was not wireless and could not be split into two if you expect to get poor man’s surround sound. I am very very happy with product once I figured it out.Read full review
This sound bar has incredible sound reproduction. For individuals that like low band pass it has it and for high it has it too. Inputs from multiple signals work well. System does moderate well with 3d and surround sound but not even close to a 5.1 or even a 3.1. Bottom line it's worth the money for everyday use but if your looking to toss your surround sound system look at something with more speakers.
This system sounds wonderful. The materials online led me to believe that the subwoofer was wireless; however the speakers are wireless. I was hoping to put the subwoofer in the rear of the room without having to run wires, but that is not possible. In any case, the system was easy to set up and the sound is very big.
