I played this one on Samsung and Sprint. Phone runs Android 4.1.2, but once it updates the installed apps it's slow as molasses. Most times it just freezes when you go to open the app. After some research, it appears to be a problem with a corrupt 4.1.2. If not for that, it would be a great little phone...

I just purchased this phone from Velocity wireless on Ebay as a new unused smartphone as a starter phone for my grandson. So far it has proved to be a great phone for the money, and the ease of use is making it simple for him to learn to operate a smartphone of this type. It does almost everything well and is just the right size for him. Battery life is the only complaint that I can give, although it will last all day if he is in school and he can plug it in at home. I am very happy with this purchase
I was able to pick up a slightly used nexus s with a clean esn. it works fantastic, and as far as features go, it's everything you'd expect from a google phone running the most recent build of android. the interface is fantastic, the device is quick, and the overall experience is smooth and clean. it took a little while to switch everything over and get everything installed, but now that it is, i am happier with this phone than my last one, and any phone prior. the only real downside is the battery life, but considering how much the phone is actually doing at anyone moment, it's crazy to expect it to last TOO long. I run facebook, twitter, foursquare, and instagram constantly, and occasionally stream music using spotify. i get a solid 7-8 hours. if i needed it to last longer, i could easily decrease my usage and get better battery life, but considering how much i use it, battery life shouldn't be a large reason to mark it down to many steps.Read full review
Though of course not as smooth and sleek (and touch-sensitive) as the iPhone, the Nexus S is a great phone, not least because my last phone was... not so great... (though also by Samsung). Why this phone is better than my last: it doesn't turn on randomly when I'm flying/traveling, it doesn't connect to the Internet randomly , the Internet is actually usable, easily. Why this phone is just okay: battery life, as always, it seems, is mediocre. I understand that using apps that use data eats up the battery, but I even when I don't use them actively, I can never go over 36 hours without charging it.
