I already had 2 identical mics but got this one for a student to use for zoom saxophone lessons with me. Most mics are too sensitive to use with loud wind instruments but this one has the attenuation and bass rollover to help control the sound going into it. The used one I received seems to be as good as mine on zoom and home recording. It came with a tiny tripod stand that tips over easily due to its weight.

The microphone is extremely easy to set up. Thanks to its USB interface, it is plug and play; all that I had to do was plug it in. Of course, I could imagine that you'd have some trouble connecting it to a mixer board (because it uses USB). The audio quality is superb. There is virtually no hiss in the result, and the frequency response is very even. The multiple pickup patterns really do work although it's impossible to eliminate echoes off of the walls in the room. One complaint that I have is that the stand that came with the microphone is very flimsy. I broke it in the first five minutes of having the box open. You may want to invest in an additional stand to hold the microphone. I, thankfully, fixed my stand with superglue. To conclude, the Samson C03U is a great choice if you want to record high quality audio from one source at a time. It sounds great and is easy to set up with a computer.Read full review
This is a great microphone. easy to install plug and play all you have to do is go into your sounds and under recording devices adjust your volume and start recording. i don't use the software it came with as i have a much easier software than the sonar. The mic itself is awesome picks up great has several features it isn't a cheap plastic mic nice and heavy duty I use it to DJ with and its quality is better than the more expensive mics. I hope this will help you decide what i would suggest is if you are going to travel with it make certain you have a good case .
Have used this model mic for years and it has never failed me. Great quality in build and sound.

So far I only had good things to say about my condenser mic, it works perfectly, it allows me to adjust settings and remove excess background noise, obtain better voice quality, instrument sound quality. I use my mic to record acoustic and vocals, it come pretty close to pro settings. After looking at mic reviews on different websites, people kept emphasizing how good the Samson was, after listening to some samples I was tempted to purchase one. I visited music stores looking for condenser mics, every time I walked in there I got a lecture about how much stuff I needed to purchase to get a quality recording sound. With the Samson all you need is a USB cord, maybe a pop stand to sharpen the sound and your good. Which led me to buy my favorite mic ever.
