I been playing Zildjian for 30 plus years. Paiste about 20 years! Sabians Neil Peart 10" splash has that great feel when you hit it. Sabian has really changed the edge in cymbal making. Hammering ideas are different from Zildjian. Neil likes the quicker fast trashy sound. Remember he played Wuhans. He does not like the Gongy ring sounding cymbals. They seem to try to make their cymbals thinner with just more explosive sound projection. Since I only started collecting a great collection of Sabian in the last month. AA, AAX, Signature, and Paragon. Quality is as good as Zildjian and Paiste. Simply they sound like Rush with Neil playing them. I can't wait to buy the 8" splash...
Sound great would recommend
