Game has the best art style I've seen in a PSX game. The backgrounds, characters sprites, all but the battles are very well done. The battles.. look a bit meh. The 3D seems a tad out of place, but it works. Story is great, in my opinion. I loved the story behind Gustave, and Will's story isn't that bad. I don't want to mention to much into it, cus' it would spoil the story a bit for ya.. and this is just a sort of quick mini review for ebay. :P The music is really good.. but very much reused. A lot of songs are the same song, remixed. Now.. the battle music in particular is one of the biggest culprits there. On the plus side though, the battle music is so damn addicting, I actually liked that they just remixed that one song lol. Like I said though, the music is really good. This and the original SF have a crap ton of remixes and for good reason. The songs are just very very good. In terms of gameplay, the field controls are pretty standard RPG stuff. If you bought this game, you know that the gameplay is in the battles. Its very similar to the first one, with the exception of 1on1 battles(which.. I LOVE by the way). The 1on1 battles, you get to choose 1 member, then face off against 1 monster in a 1 on 1 battle. You choose actions individually to compose special attacks, or power up, or whatever. You can learn new skills by this method, very much similar to how Legend of Legaia works(which is also one of my favorite games I might add... xD). Regular battles have a few characters spread out on the field, that all share the same move sets. If one character learns something, every character can use it. This is a vast improvement from the original Saga Frontier in my opinion. You can learn new skills in normal combat by just using attacks and praying you learn it. Its must faster to learn the skills in 1on1 combat, but I believe its possible to learn stronger attacks earlier this way. You can regenerate your health by sacrificing Life Points(LP), which there are a lot of, so you don't entirely need to worry about running out. The points used to use skills automatically regenerates over time, which again is an improvement from the original. Overall, one of the best battle systems in an RPG game. You'll very much likely enjoy it. Something I think I should make note of is the unique ability to shift between two stories throughout time when playing this game. Will is more action driven then Gustave in the sense that you are almost always in gameplay and less so in story. Gustave is the opp of that, and IMO, that is my favorite story. :P Anyways, thats a tiny review. I recommend just using google to search up a more detailed review.Read full review

I decided to buy this game because when I was younger I rented it and fell in love with it. I had it for 3 weeks and had some major late fees, I should have just said I lost it and got it then. Anyways, I decided to buy the game because I love it and it's not exactly something you find at Wal-Mart or Target anymore. It's hard to find great games like these for a system as great and with as much prowess as the Playstation. Great game, great story, great characters and one of the most innovative battle systems you can experience in a game of this class. I would reccommend this game to everyone. ~Josh Lopez
