This is better than no transistor radio, but it has a sharp, piercing sound, very difficult to find stations, fine tuning is very sensitive and losing reception and then I have to re-tune it. I had a heck of a time fitting the two AA batteries in, the area for that was barely large enough, and I had to "stuff" them in (they kept popping out). Finally I succeeded. Not really the best buy. Spend a few more dollars and get the Sony transistor, which I just ordered because this one is not sufficient for my use. This one is tiny, so if you want a very small radio, I guess they don't make them much smaller now a days.

For a little radio the sound quality was very good and the reception was excellent. Nice to have the option of the speaker or earbuds/headphone.
