Shooter and the 357s Rock! Just saw them live in Jamestown, NY and it was a great show! Their songs are more along the lines of Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Allmans and Black Crows, great Southern rockers. They can play more traditional country like "Aviators", "Manifesto # 2" and "Song Keeps Slipping Away" but rock out on "Electric Rodeo", "Gone to Carolina" and "Little White Lines". Hope to get the 1st CD soon even though it may be more mellow but the songs they played in concert were kick ass too! Just wish I had found in the local bars drinking before and after the show but I'd probably still be hungover.
Shooter is definitely not his father. The voice is very similar, but Shooter ROCKS. I am a big Waylon fan, and a fan of outlaw country to begin with, so I was surprised to find that Shooter Jennings strayed away from the mold a bit and created a whole new form of country rock. He's not the Kid Rock version, or the Lynyrd Skynyrd version. He's just different. I call it Hillbilly Rock. This CD has a place of honor on my shelves, and is one that I listen to frequently. I hope that many other people will discover the music of Shooter Jennings so that he may continue to produce such great songs as Aviators and Gone To Carolina.
I bought 2 copies of this CD, the morning it was released, at Wal-Mart. I am a HUGE Shooter Jennings fan, have been since day 1! I have seen him twice now, and am planning on seeing him again in July. He is total heart and soul, and Electric Rodeo just showed this even more. (The) Living Proof tore my heart out, and White Lines just shows their diversity. Shooter and the 357's are going places, and I will be there to support them totally. I was a loyal fan a year ago, and I will be for years from now. LOVE YOU SHOOTER AND THE 357'S!!!! YOU ROCK n F'n ROLL!!!!!!!!!
Great cd. This is my second one. Wore out the first! Shooter sounds like his Dad!

Gave it 4 stars because it didn't quite hit the mark like the debut. First saw him at a NASCAR race and he put on a heck of a show. Some of the songs on this one kind of strayed from the Southern Rock feel of the first album. All of Shooter's albums have lots of great songs but stay away from his collaboration with Stephen King..........you've been warned.
