Strong on information with a good selection of black and white images and a collection of colour plates, all well-captioned. The book follows an intelligent chronology and will satisfy any reader with an interest in the subject area. The book ends with some useful tables although these would benefit from a little more explanation for those unfamiliar with the notation of presenting "kill" scores. The style of writing is perfunctory and stilted. Thomas is not a natural writer. However, he can be justly proud of what he has achieved as the author of a tidy little book aimed at a particular niche market. The production of the book is in keeping with Osprey's typically high standards. I recommend this book.
