Such a Blast from the Past
I have a friend that has all the issues of Rolling Stone from Issue #1. But they are all sealed. I wanted to have all of them to READ. Look at the ads. Get a feel how we thought in those by gone days. Well this solves the problem, digitally. I have a radio show and now when I play something from the sixties, I can read an article about how it was reviewed in 1968. Even see the ADS for the albums. What great memories they bring back. From a John Lennon interview in 1968 where he talks about why the Beatles might break up to a 10 page article about the Kent State incident weeks after it happened. And the COVERS!!! Joplin Hendrix Morrison, even David Cassidy naked!! If you loved what the 60's and the 70's were all about, you have to get this slice of history. You can search all 40 years by keyword or just read an issue page by page. This is must have stuff.Read full review

You can peruse every article, ad, cover, etc of Rolling Stone up to May 2007. The entire history of Rock and Roll in the last 40 years in one streamlined time capsule in the form of a DVD-rom. The articles and cover are printable as well! This will keep the music lover in the family busy for a long time. The only draw back is sometimes slow retrieval, but that could all depend on the speed of your computer or DVD drive.
