If this amp had reverb I would give it 5 stars. 5 watts is good for a small room if no other instruments are playing over it. Use the gain At quarter level for single coil, less for humbucker guitar. Extra advantage is you can use it with batteries, take it outside and turn it All the way up.

This solidly constructed amp has a clear tone (when wanted) and is easy to use. I don't need a loud amp, I will practice through headphones, and this will be perfect for it. In the spring I will use it to play outside. Just what I wanted!

I'm really attracted to the head phone option. And I can hook up a really nice pedal for my acoustic ovation. But taking it out in the woods or park priceless and if can run off my Jeeps 120v outlet. Also I can piggy back 2 of then and upgrade the speakers. And that's a given because sight unseen I know the electronics are adequate but dropping a high dollar replacement speaker in is a must cost cutting corners were used and that's just fine and it wasn't in the electronics and no problem.

Very useful practice amp. I like having the headphone option, which makes playing around others a considerate gesture.

Great little amp. Not overly powerful, but with enough sound for practice and to fill a small room. i really like the fact that it runs on just one 9V battery.
