Jackie Chan once commented that he wanted to be known as, "Jackie Chan...........Actor as opposed to being known as "Jackie Chan............Kung Foo." I believe that his roll in this movie has granted his wish. I believe that this was one of his best movies ever. A nice balance of acting AND Kung Foo. Thgis was the first Jackie Chan movie that ever made me cry. In the scene where Jackie passes his ailing father on a staircase and stops behid him and the kidnapped baby that Jackie is carrying takes hold of Jackie's father's thumb and then Jackie begins to weep, it just melted my heart and I began to weep with Jackie. Jackie comments on this scene that it reminded him of his mother in his personal life and that his weeping was real. It was so emotional. During the movie Jackie and his little gang become very attached to the baby which they have kidnapped and it stikes me as just being so tender a story. Near the end of the movie the baby is in a survival situation and it appears that the baby is dead. Jackie and his gang tried so hard to rescue the child and everyone was weeping profoundly at the realization that the baby was blue skinned and lifeless. I wept uncontrollably along with the characters in the movie. I'm not going to spoil things by saying how the movie ends but I will say that it is one of Jackie's finest films and if you're interested in seeing another side of Jackie I strongly recommend you to buy this film. -Janis Jade RoguskieRead full review
the reason why i bought this film is because im a big fan of jackie chan. its good that chan plays a different character type then what he usually does. but i thought both ken lo which is jackies body guard and his kung-fu brother should had much larger roles their martial arts ability is astounding. i give this movie five stars
This is a cute movie...the baby is so cute...Love how the guys fall in love with the little one...
