I bought this shooting stand hoping to use it with my AR-15 and AK-47 riffles so that I can sight in my scopes. The 30-round magazines in both riffles are too long, making it impossible to use with this stand. The magazines would hit the knob that controls the elevation, or hit the bar below. I now have to buy 5-round magazine for both riffles, still hoping that they would be short enough to be used with the stand. I don't have any hunting riffles, but I can imagine they probably would fit well with this stand, since they don't have a magazine sticking out and interfering with the stand. It is a solid and heavy enough stand that probably would work well for hunting riffles.

Great stand for the money. Perfect to zero a scope. Simple & easy to put together. Does not work with an extended mag in place. It is what it is, simple, cheap, functional.

I purchased this item and it arrived with the finish all banged up consistent with prior use. A bolt had been incorrectly driven in, causing obvious thread patterned marks across the top of the square tubing, and damaging the bolt.

It could use better feet but for the price it's a very good product

This is a useful tool when sighting in a rifle. It holds the rifle steady so you know any "fliers" are not the result of shooter error. Also when I sight in a scoped rifle, I fire 2 or 3 shots. Then I lock in the rifle with sights on target and then move the crosshairs to the center of the group of shots fired. It is very difficult to do without a rest or tool such as this.
