This book seems to provide more depth to the ingrained need for Sacketts to come to the assistance of Sacketts. The concept is a curious one throughout the series and interestingly is not unusual in the culture of the Appalachian mountains today. Book is very readable and has a few surprises in it. I recommend reading the entire Sackett series.

I have long been a fan and collector of Louis L'amour books. I bought this book because I didn't have it, but was pleased with being able to read about Sacketts I had rarely heard of. The heroine of this series is an old lady which is very unusual. Of course as usual with L'amour's writing it is always excellent and practically profanity free. This Sackett novel tells of Logan Sackett, Emily,Milo, and Barnabas Talon.
