Requires some time to start since the instruction bucklet isn’t intuitive, but youtube videos would help! Once ramped up (within a day for me), you’ll produce great quality hems, real professional look.

Took a little bit getting used to it but I love it, instead of sitting there hand sewing hems, now it's done in matter of seconds. I am very happy with it. Good investment.

From the minute I took it out of the box, I knew it was going to be a great little work horse. The machine it well casted and all part were burr free... the only issue I had is that the instructions are very poor but the machine is not so complicated that you can easily figure it out.... I think the most important thing is to baste your hem before using the the blind stitcher and run the machine at a speed slow enough to control the fabric so that it stays inline with the ( V ) notch.... The ( V ) notch is where the bottom fabric and the hem are squeezed together in order for the needle to grab both pieces of fabric to create a beautiful blind stitch, also it's a good idea to use the hand wheel to assist the machine manually when going over multiple seems to insure that the hem stays in the ( V ) notch!.. All in all I am very pleased with the machine and think you will be too!Read full review

This is one amazing little machine! Just a couple tips to share that I would have liked to have known prior to purchasing but managed to find out after perusing the internet...... The dial on the front is used to adjust the height of the sewing mechanism so for thinner fabrics, leave it at 0 and adjust up for thicker fabrics. I was using the machine for curtain panels and had to start the dial off at 4, adjust down to 0 after I got past the side hem.... And to lock the stitch to keep it from unravelling.....when you have completed your sewing, make sure the "claw" is front and center and use small scissors to snip the thread. That will prevent your stitches from unravelling. :) I used this brand of machine when I worked in an alterations shop and now that I have my own, I couldn't possibly recommend another one. Excellent machine and worth every penny!Read full review
For a portable it is very solid set up and stable when sewing. We are a professional tailoring shop and we needed a second hemmer. I have one that is 33 years old and still going strong. This new one seems of the same great quality. Easy to use because we are familiar with the machine. If new at it there will be a learning period
