I had this book sitting on my shelf for awhile before I decided to read it. I started it, and could not put it down. I finished it the same day! K.P. Yohannan definitely has a love for his people. We should be giving more to missions, but I do not agree with Yohannan on everything in the book. He writes as though the only missions giving should be to native missionaries because of more fruit, however, there are other missionaries (such as Western missionaries) that are doing what is right. Just because there have been a few Westerners that have not been doing what is right does not mean that all Western missionaries are in the same boat. If you would like to give to missionaries, I would recommend going on Baptist World Mission's website or the Baptist International Missions, Inc website. They have a way to find a missionary name and send money to the mission board for that missionary. You can google the above mission boards to find their website. Also, it is good to pray for our missionaries. Even if you can't help them financially, you can pray for them. Prayer is an even better tool of reaching the lost! But back to the book, I do recommend it! It is time for America to get out of their spending lifestyle into a giving lifestyle. (Please note, I believe you should take care of necessities!)Read full review
This is a great read for those interested in becoming a missionary or even if you just want to support one. Great stories of how powerful God is and the work being done in Asia. Check out GFA.org for more information. Also, this book is free on the GFA website. Either way, this is a must read for all Christians to better understand what is going on with missions today.
