This case was the perfect solution for my beat up remote. I had lost the battery cover and the screen and case were all scratched up. This new case was easy to replace and turned my old 15 year old remote into a brand new one.I highly recommend this item.

Definitely worth it. I dropped my remote along with bunch of keys many times and after multiple years of abuse buttons started acting up also because remote body was not aligning or holding buttons at their place. Also went for full remote change but it was way more expensive from the shop than I thought of. So I started searching for options and came across casing and I can tell you it's similar to original remote body/case. So far my remote is holding it better and it looks brand new too. I would say before going for new remote give this a try. Only negative from me ... That this kit didn't came with the metallic little button pieces that goes under the buttons. I wish they would have include that because it's not part of the original assembly and considered peripheral button thing ... but I would still give 5 out of 5 starts to this purchase and well worth it. No regrets at allRead full review

My remote was re-cased in about 5 minutes. There is one screw that needs to be removed before you snap it apart. My remote died so I went to the installer and had to pay $107 for a new one. I then came across this product and tried one. It worked!! Then I purchased another one for my other remote that had quit. After talking to the installer, he told me that this is a common problem. The remotes last only 3 to 5 years. After opening up the remote I discovered that the soft rubber buttons make contact with "Pads" on the PC board. These rubber buttons have carbon in the rubber to make contact. The carbon wears off after some time. A new case which comes with new rubber buttons is the fix. Follow the instructions and don't break the case.

Just save the little tiny screw in the battery case, and the small metal key ring piece on the bottom, swap over - good to go. Wish I had found this years ago before I replaced the whole remote. Thanks! Probably will buy another just to have as a backup!

Great way to correct a well used Viper alarm that was working well, but showed the years of use. I originally thought I would have to replace the entire remote for $60-80, so was very pleased to find this replacement shell case for an 80% savings. Removing and installing the inner alarm mechanism took less than 5 minutes.
