RENO 911!!! Comes to the big screen!!!! The film follows the 8 members of the Reno Sheriff's department to Miami. The 8 get an invitation to the annual police officers’ convention something they been wanting to be apart of for awhile. It will come as no surprise to regular RENO-watchers that the incompetent police force--led by the earnest, hot-pants-wearing Lt. Jim Dangle (Thomas Lennon)--hit an administrative snag, and aren’t allowed into the convention. But the crew decides to make the most of their multi-hour bus trip to Florida, until an emergency call to duty cuts their vacation short: they are expected to keep the peace in Miami while the rest of the nation’s police forces are quarantined due to a biochemical warfare attack on the convention center. Finding themselves way out of their league in a high-tech police station and Mustang patrol cars, the Reno cops ineptly stumble through Miami, leaving destruction and hilarity in their wake. Not for the Kids As a Reno 911 watcher I enjoyed the movie but I could see how a new watcher might have a hard time watching and understanding it. Watch a few shows on T.V. and if you like them them get the movie !!!! "Reno 911!: Miami" (UNRATED) unfolds in fits and starts, with the unstoppable forward momentum of 'Reno's' finest, Lt. Jim Dangle, the "Law Enforcement Cheetah" in hot pants. "Reno 911: Miami! (UNRATED) brings the monumentally inept cops from the Comedy Central series 'Reno 911' to the big screen with scattershot results. Raunchier and funnier, "Reno 911: Miami" has way more honest-to-goodness laughs to make it a hysterical fun-bloated watch. The filmmakers' comic inspiration keeps the film from ever running dry; taking pot-shots at American Classics and Other Films, like 'Scarface', 'Mr & Mrs Smith' (receiving a domestic disturbance call for Brad & Angelina's boat - where they arrive asking for "Mr & Mrs Smith"?) and many others you'll recognize !! Long before Lt. Dangle (Thomas Lennon) and his fellow Officers wrap up their extended stay in Miami, or what's left of the City in the wake of their visit, the laughs have brought full-rupturing tears to us when you "Could Use That Good Laugh". Directed and Co-Written by Robert Ben Garant, who plays the borderline retarded Deputy Travis Junior, "Reno 911: Miami" uses the flimsiest of narratives as a pretext for barraging the audience with gags that hit their mark hard. While attending a National Police Convention in Miami, 'Reno's' Finest must 'Protect and Serve the Entire City after the convention center is quarantined, following a biological terrorist attack. While the diminutive Deputy Mayor (Patton Oswalt) grows increasingly apoplectic, Dangle and company patrol the city and its fabled beaches — when they're not lost, getting drunk and tattooed, or blowing up beached whales. Running afoul of everyone from Rap Impresario Suge Knight; to a Scarface Wannabe (Paul Rudd) threatening them with a weed-whacker, Dangle and his team soldier on, impervious to disaster, harsh criticism, and thought. Featuring cameos by Danny DeVito and The Rock, "Reno 911: Miami" is a smart blend of satire and slapstick; with ingenious ties to the long-running phenomina interest in the TV Series "COPS". Co-Writer/Star Lennon provides the biggest laughs with his amusing turn as the sexually ambivalent Dangle, whose off-duty attire of scarily snug jeans cut-offs and pink bandana suggest an unholy blend of 'Fire Island' and 'Olivia Newton John' in her "Physical" video. "Reno 911: Miami" comes across as a slightly smarter update of the 'Police Academy' films, shot resembling "COPS" dating and displaying calls on screen and shot in "reality-cam" style at many times. No, this movie is "NOT" going to win Academy Awards.... but it's not meant to. If you are just looking for a "Get-Off-The-World" good fun laughfest, then you have found the spot. This is your film !!!!Read full review
....And I say so with a heavy heart, because I WANTED to love it....I REALLY did. I anticipated the release of this film like a kid at Christmas.Being unable to attend an invitation to a (MONTHS IN ADVANCE) screening, plus hearing the word on the street about how HILARIOUS this film was going to be just made the wait that much more unbearable! I must confess at first, when the show Reno911! was new I gave it about half an episode before deciding that this was a really dumb show and that I didn't like it(the show seemed to me like watching a cross between "COPS" and "America's stupidest....er...I mean 'funniest' home videos").When the show opened it's season 4 premiere, and hearing about how others love it so much, I figured there's GOT to be something to the show so I gave it a fair chance. I realized the stupidity is just part of the show's(and the character's)charm and over time I've really become wild over Reno!! I was shocked to hear that there's no script on the show! That much of the dialogue btwn. the characters is pure improvisation!!That lent me a much deeper appreciation for the sharp wits, impeccable comedic timing and SPONTANIETY these capable actors have!!And the synergy between the actors! They all appear to work with each other so well, like a well-oiled machine (however a wacky contraption that might happen to be *LOL*) ....Unfortunately, it didn't carry very well into the movie.Much of the elements that make Reno SO AWESOME are visible in small traces in this film. Like watering down a fantastic tasting juice and slapping a fancier label on it.Any spontaniety(which is the cornerstone of the show IMO)in the movie was undetectable.Much of the humor seemed forced (could it BE they had a SCRIPT to stick to??).A number of the jokes were predictable and others only got a chuckle out of me(I WANTED to laugh hard.I DID!)Funny, but not all-out hilarious like I was hoping. So all in all, if you expect it to be as funny as the show, you're in for a bit of a letdown. If you REALLY want to see a bust-up funny cop movie, I suggest "Hot Fuzz" INSTEAD!I really feel that "Hot Fuzz" is what "Reno 911 Miami" TRIED to be like humorwise (except for the ending. That was kind of lame). But,if you're crazy about Reno(like I am)buy it anyway (like I AM *LOL*) or at least rent it. What's more, if you're a straight guy: this film has it's share of bouncing boobs, one advantage "Hot Fuzz" doesn't have(Unless you consider Nick Frost's chest boobs *LMAO*).I for one prefer to see Lieutenant Dangle wear those hot short shorts. Oooh yeah! He can frisk me ANYTIME!*wink*Read full review

Ok not to much to say about this movie besides its not worth watching. I mean some parts of this movie were ok, but its not one of those movies you own and just put in to watch it again. Its a one time thing, and leave it at that.
