Ok so I'm not a Chorus guy, but I needed the sound for a gig. This band required an 80's Pop sound and the lead player had the over the top 90's hair band sound all sewn up. So I was in need of the other spectrum. I ended up leaving this thing on most of the time! I do have a tendency to leave a Mod pedal on to get a bigger thicker sound from a clean guitar, but it's usually reverb or delay. This is a very usable pedal if your a "tone guy"... meaning you have a tendency to work on how you sound, as opposed to how well you play. I have always had one of the original Ibanez chorus pedals, and just don't care for the way it sounds... I can't explain it. The Red is just a big improvement to my ears.
There are a lot of so-so chorus pedals out there but this one is very close to the best there is. The more subtle chorus sounds are fantastic. There is a light/dark tone switch that works well and the vibrato does a decent rotating speaker sound but clearly would not actually fool anybody into thinking you have a leslie. That being said there is one chorus that I would put at the top but you have to buy the whole amp it comes in, or find an old discontinued model for three time what a Empress would cost. Those that know what I'm talking about, know what I am talking about...

I just got the pedal today and I have to say it's the best chorus I've used. I've used them all over the years. Absolutely nails classic 80's Chorus, (Psychedelic Furs, Pretenders, Police, you get the picture).

This is definitely the best chorus pedal on the market. There is a voicing switch to dial in any chorus sound you could possibly imagine. I previously had an EH small clone that was rarely engaged. This pedal, however, will be on A LOT. Seriously amazing.
Very good. Excellent product. ok,okkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. hehehe
