There are a lot of headsets out there. Razer makes quality products, and I have watched 25+ reviews before finding these. Do they have the absolute best speakers or microphone? They do not. But if you are recording video, or looking for surround sound with EXTREMELY high quality without paying $250+ these are the ones for you. I purchased a manufacturer's refurb and the mic quality, recording power, and speaker quality were very very very satisfying! Higher quality speakers and microphones are only found in items that are too expensive for the social gamer or studio listener. For the price I paid, I was BLOWN AWAY at the quality of the hardware. The mic is flexible which is a great bonus, and the surround sound mimics a theater system, which is a great way to escape to my own world if needed. I highly recommend this product.Read full review

I thought it was the razer kraken 7.1. It was not just the razer kraken usb. It has 7.1 virtual surround sound but sound quality is ehh so. Make sure this is the product you want if you buy it.

My only nag is that the cord has a slightly sticky coating. It easily attaches to your clothes, or itself. I'm constantly untangling it.

It's worth the money. I had a $20 headset which broke 2 months later. These were a little more pricey than I was looking for but they're good quality for what you're paying.
