Even if you didn't know who Roy Rogers and Dale Evans was, you would enjoy this book. It is very touching, down to earth, and spirit filled. Sad to say but Roy Rogers died while Dale was writing this book about her beloved husband. Her coping with his loss and her sharing the experience with us--the readers--make me appreciate it that much more. The only thing I didn't like about the book was that it could have been longer. I have loved these two people since I was a child. When I opened the cover and started reading, I couldn't put it down. This book will lead to to a higher place and a deeper sense of love and appreciation--not only for Roy and Dale--but for yourself as well. Highly recommend...also...the Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Museum--located in Branson, Missouri--will officially close its doors on December 12, 2009. Everything in the museum will be sold and the collection scattered to the winds unless someone comes in and saves it all. I pray they do. This family gave so much in so many ways...to all of us and the Lord...during their lifetime. A new generation needs to see what "Real" heroes were and are all about.Read full review
