This book has a good arrangement. The first two chapters are about the terms and survey method sociologists used when studying the racial/ethnic issues. Then, from Ch 3-12 they all talk about different ethnic groups. Each chapter only focus on one ethnic group and clearly titles "education," "politics," and "economy." The last two chapters further examine the ethnic problems such as inter-racial conflicts. Moreover, the textbook website provides pretty good resources for reviewing each chapter such as multiple choice questions, vocabulary/key words, and essay questions. However, this book is fairly dry because it is wordy but has less images/graph. If you need to finish many chapters in a short period of time, it will be boring. Also, sometimes the authors do not explain certain sociology key terms, so you may need to look them up by yourself, and it is quite inconvenient.Read full review
