This is a good book for those who are interested in modern art.It has price,ID and beautiful pictures.I am looking for older artifacts, prices and ID.I have pottery, and other items I need to ID.As I said this is a good book it also has some history of different Indian tribes it is more for collectors,it has clothes shoes, moccasins, beads and other crafts.I bought this book to see if it had arrowheads, axes, celt, and other stones and pottery.
Beautifully photographed coupled with an easy to follow text and degrees of Artifacts rarity, makes this a book of discovery for me anyway. Very well rounded embracing Pottery, Arrowheads while clearly portraying the skill of the manufacturer and artist. Brilliant research item.
As I have been interested in indian artifacts since I found my first arrowhead at about age 6, I have been looking for any artifacts in the area where I live. There was an Indian village located within 200 yards of my current home located on a lake in Minnesota as per a 1861 survey map I had located. I enjoyed comparing my finds to the book. Very interesting!
This is a good book, containing good descriptions and photos of many artifacts. It does, however, cover the entire span of North American Indian cultures. I have a limited interest in many of these different tribes, but the information that I was really interested in is very good. This is a reasonable priced source for good information.
This book is a must have book it gives great discription and its a great price guide to have. This book has great pictures of the artifacts but you need more books to get everything you need
