It's a good game for a coaster sim. However, if you've played other coaster sims, you'll quickly notice some limitations. It's almost as if it's just a little too realistic to be fun. For example, we played Ultimate Ride before this game and you can do just about anything with the coasters, send them in unrealistic directions and unrealistic speeds. So, the transition from one to the other was a bit "dull" for a lack of a better word. Also, the building feature is set up to where you have to run very frequent and quite annoying tests just to see if you're coaster will "make the grade". If it doesn't then you either have to scrap it and start over or rebuild the last section you just did. If you don't run these frequent and annoying tests then you will likely have to rebuild your entire track unless you're really good at it. However, for an older game and for it's type, I'd still give it a good 4 of 5 stars for game play and fun, realism effects and graphics, as well as, an easy-to-use and learn coaster building interface.Read full review
My son loved the first edition of Roller Coaster Factory, so when he found Roller Coaster Factory 2, I bought it. According to my son's review, it is "Awesome"! It has such great features and neat coasters that sometimes it's hard to get him away from this game! 5 Stars all the way!!!!!!!
I really like this game because I can create my own coaster and ride it myself. I can pick any seat to ride and see the view around me. So I'm glad I bought this pc game. Thanks god it works on Win XP SP3.
Great game for kids that like roller coaster. Bought because my son like these type of games. These type keep kids busy building different roller coasters.
