The filters were a good value, and arrived in good shape. I purchased them for a Ridgid shop-vac my sister gave to me. These filters are supposed to fit this particular shop-vac, and while they slide over the throat, the filter is not equipped it any type of a hole in the top to thread the attaching nut onto. Nor does it appear to be designed to do this, although the shop-vac is equipped with this type of attaching device. So I guess it just stays in place with lip seal at the top. We'll see how it performs over time.

Con: Will not fit my older 6 gallon Ridgid model WD06350 wet/dry vac. The filter has a square shaped plastic protrusion approximately 3/4" high, which contacts the bottom of the drum when assembled. If you force down the powerhead to allow latching, it makes a 1/4" gap between the powerhead and canister drum, causing almost full suction loss. Crucial needs to update their Ebay fit specs (or redesign) to correct this issue on short drum vacs. It should work well on larger gallon vacs though.

These filters fit my ridgid 9 gallon vacuum but I had to squeeze the lid closed to get it to fit. Future buyers might need to expect this situation and not assume that they won't fit their vacuums. My old filter had a screw on lid and this one does not. Hope this is helpful. I have had good luck with crucial vacuum filters and I will continue using them.

I saw another review where the person noted that these didn't fit his vac - but I ordered them anyway. The issue is these are 9" tall and my vac accepts filters that are 8 1/2" tall. The diameter is fine, but they are too long. You can probably see the section that sticks out the bottom in the photos. I could return them, but I have to pay shipping. Instead, I'm going to cut the bottom off with my Dremel and glue some kind of plastic plate to the bottom. If you have 9" of space in your vac, you're fine. If not, these won't fit.

These DO not fit a 6 gal tube that uses a VF4000 will not let the lid seal down on the tube when it runs you have to push the vac lid down on the tube for it to seal . Filter is to tall. Other then that these are nice filters for a lager vac, also these are press fit no mounting plate or nut needed
