While he doesn't give or take the first punch in the film, Harrison Ford excites and moves you, with his memorable performance as "Henry". He handles the character transformation brilliantly, and Annette Benning delivers a superb supporting role, given her fairly meager role. The little girl seems a bit too 'hardened', but considering her childhood to this point in their lives, it is not unexpected..... just maybe a little overdone, for her age. I do love the 'down to earth and very real' PT guy. The story is well told and covers the time period for all this to have taken place, quite well. Though it is 'predictable' from the very beginning, it is still captivating, due to the outstanding handling of the characters by each of the actors. Very well done!

I bought this because I thought it was going to be a "so bad it's good" type of film due to the impressions I got from the online trailer. It is not remotely close to good in any capacity whatsoever. It's a horribly forgettable feel-good film with a lot of inoffensive bad acting. Ford actually does a good job, but it's not close to enough to make this movie worth it. And it's really unfortunate because you can't even hate this film; nothing about it is infuriating or upsetting, only extremely underwhelming and disappointing. It's best to skip it.

Harrison Ford and Annette Bening play their roles well. I also like the girl who plays the daughter because her character helps her father relearn the most basic skills in a caring manner. The two lead roles show how a relationship could be very difficult for a period of time, but a significant event has the ability to cause improvement or change. I have no dislikes.
This really is a brilliant movie. Everyone knows who Harrison Ford is but not many are aware of his smaller movies. If you have not heard of this one I encourage you to buy and watch it today. Harrison plays a very successful attorney who is self-centered, rude and overbearing. That all changes in less than a minute when he is shot twice during a small drug-store robbery. He lives but has lost almost all of his memory. Rehabilitation takes months, learning to walk and speak again. Tougher still is not remembering his wife and daughter who are trying to cope and understand who this new person is. For all that he goes through his life now is actually better than before. You need to follow him and his wife, Annette Bening to see why. Get ready to experience a wide range of emotions while you do!Read full review

There is a great moral to this story. NEVER take anything for granted and it also teaches about loyalty among your family members and friends.
