The headphones are comfortable and cut down on the room noise. Don't tell my wife that sometimes I just turn them off to keep my ears warm and the room quiet. Makes it much easier to hear the TV - she uses her pair to hear the TV better even when there is no noise from the kids. Sound quality is good but some static comes through no matter which channel is used. We have each TV with a transmitter on a different channel so the headphones can be used throughout the house. Love it when riding my exercise bike down in the basement.

I bought these to hook up to a TV so I could listen while my other half was asleep. This is probably the most popular use for this type of head phone. The problem is they come with a 3.5mm head phone jack which means you need to purchase a female 3.5mm to RCA converter cable. I lay about 15 feet from the TV. The head phones have 3 channels for interference. I get interference on all 3 channels. There is nothing on around the TV and the base of the headphones is as far from the TV as the cables allow. The sound quality is very good. Good base good all around sound. But to charge the headphones most just sit on the base. These have a wire similar to a headphone jack that you must plug in. Though I really wanted to like these, for the price I just cannot recommend them.

I bought this product as a 2012 Christmas present for my daughter. Time used has been short, so there have been no problems yet to mention. She has an RCA television, therefore compatibilty was not an issue at all: just charge for a few hours, then plug-and-play (it really was that easy). She only uses the headphones from about 15 feet away, but I went to the other end of the house to see if there might be some loss of signal: there was none ... sound was very sharp and clear though several walls. The only down-side might be the large size and bulkiness (especially for a younger child), but because of the full ear pieces, they do cut down on outside noise. I've seen some criticism of RCA, but I've always had good luck with their products (MP3 players, headphones, boom boxes, TVs). Personally, I have found them to be cheaper than the bigger name-brand competition and more reliable than the no-name stuff. This is my first set of wireless headphones, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy another pair just like it. The headphones do have three channel settings, so that should elliminate the chance of bleed through with other RCA wireless headphones(?). If I buy a second pair, I'll let you know how it goes ...Read full review
Comfortable with plenty of clear volume that only you can hear. Excellent for those weird actors who only feel they're giving an honest performance when they mumble. When I saw the post they sit on, I thought they were built to re-energize the chargeable batteries, but not so. You need a little separate charger for them. I use them with a 9 point Direct TV hook-up. My wife is asleep by 9 pm, but I like to watch movies or shorts till I knock off. My wife is peacefully asleep now, hearing nothing. You can change out the batteries in 6 seconds. Seems fairly durable.

The RCA headset sounds decent. That's it for the Pros. The Cons are numerous. First off, they're not adjustable to head size. The earmuffs swivel and that's it for adjustment. They don't fit right at all. The earmuff cushion is too thin, which leaves the inside speaker to rub against my ear. It hurts after a short while. I spend most of my time readjusting them on my head. The headset doesn't even sit on the stand properly. The picture shown, makes them look great, but it would take some doing to get them to sit so neatly on the base. It falls off the stand so easily. Charging is a pain. There's a wire that needs to be plugged into the headset for charging. It's thin and cheap...feels like it might break any moment. Oh, there's a tiny on/off switch on these as well. Like my Sony headset, the inner head band should be the on/off switch. I don't even understand why the RCAs have an inner head band. I would not recommend these at all. My Sony set, which I've had for 15 years, still work great, but the soft ear cushions and the head band are falling apart. The Sony can be adjusted to fit my head. There's no wires to plug in, no on/off switch to worry about, and they sit on the stand solid. I was trying to save a buck, because the Sony sets are expensive. I'm now looking for something better again. The RCAs are going in the trash. I would feel guilty even giving these away. Read full review
