I bought this kit to use with a generic brand of the Xgrip model from eBay. I measured and cut and tried to install, with no luck.. as it kept slipping out. I finally just slowed down while turning the allen wrench and it tightened up! We take our bike out of state almost every month and this little guy has stayed in its place every time! The only small issue I had was that it would spin from time to time. When that happens I just turn it back and push down at the same time, fixing the issue.

All in all, not a bad product. Installation took me about 20 minutes altogether, but the mount still pivots nearly freely with everything tightened down as much as it will go. This is my second mount, same issues as before. Won't come out of the stem, but it's obnoxious because the phone moves a lot. Personally, I would use a handlebar clamp if I had enough room.

Product works with my 2004 Honda CBR600 F4i although I had doubts about the fitment. The trick is compressing the bulb enough to make it snug and further tightening it to max expansion. I had cut the large end off and trimmed to fit the bolt. Would definitely buy again if I had another bike.

I have Ram mounts and bases for all of my GPS devices. I use the mounts in vehicles and on my motorcycle. The Ram mounts are always made from top-notch materials, and GPS City has always been a great company to order from. I never hesitate in ordering items from their company!
