I make quilts to donate to a local children's hospital, and for my husband (a firefighter) to give to children in traumatic situations...I love the way the author lays out the different organizations you can donate to or thru. This book is full of helpful hints and ideas for quilts for giving! It gives simple step-by-step instructions, and tells you what size the finished quilt will be. Excellent!
I bought this book because I the quilt featured on the cover of the book and asked the quilter where she got the pattern. The quilts in this book make the best use of white or very light colors to make colors in a quilt "pop." Being a scrap saver, I use this book often, the designs are teriffic, glad I bought it.
Beautiful quilts which are easy and quick to put together.

I like the book and it's ideas. Simple designs with quick piecing directions help get the idea juices flowing. The only thing I'd change is I wouldn't have made all the quilt samples in the book all from the same fabrics over and over. I find it nice to see color options but understand why the designer did this is because all of her quilts were for children. www.calicopatchworks.com
Every quilter has leftover fabric. This book provides numerous options for using those scraps to make beautiful quilts for charity or yourself. Good instructions. Color pictures for color possibilities.
