Whether you're a novice or an experienced quilter, this is an excellent resource to have in your quilting library. This book is a well-illustrated, concise, and informative reference. The quilt patterns have detailed, illustrated instructions, with handy conversion charts--the conversion charts list the required fabric and necessary alterations to make your quilt in any of the following sizes: Crib/Lap, Full/Queen, or King. In addition, to the 15 quilt patterns, there are 37 additional quilting projects. Unlike some books, the additional projects are not just thrown in for filler. Many of the projects are quite useful--and if you don't like the specific design/theme, they are easily adaptable. In conclusion, this is a practical quilting how to. If you love Better Homes & Gardens Quilting Magazines, you'll love this reference book. It is laid out in the same manner as the magazine. Full of useful, simple to understand, ideas.Read full review
This is an excellent book for quilt lovers as it says.It includes a full size pattern pullout and a variety of projects from small to full size quilts. The directions are excellent and they provide a "Quilters Schoolhouse" at the back of the book. This is Volume 2 in a series of these books and they are all wonderful.I would like to see a skill level offered for each of the projects and the pullout section have an permanent attachment of some kind.eg envelope type opening attached to book.A good investment for the quilter.
