The flash has all what is needed for a great professional output, a work horse, can be programed to your liking. The only issue is that it uses a lot of power so you need a good pack, I get on a quantum turbo full size battery back around 275-325 shots using powers between full and 1/4. Not cheap to repair but Quantum does a great job when you send it to be repaired. Does not use regular AA batteries, you need a battery pack for it, actually a few packs for a job.

The Quantum T5dr is like a speed light on steroids. When used wit a Quantum pilot and Quantum Trio, it is everything a wedding photographer needs. I shot a wedding last month and tried the different modifiers. The bare bulb provided great light for the reception. You can shoot all day without overheating the flash.

I run Q-Flash on Canon products. Co-Pilot doesn't work with Canon zoom lenses. I was at the Long Island facility just before they moved to Illinois, and the tech finally admitted the issues with Canon. The Tfd-r jumps off its settings when trying to use Q-TTL-W or Ratio settings, so it is only reliable on the basic TTL setting. It's a great flash for basic TTL, but very unreliable for fancy settings. That said, I use the Q-Flash and freeXwire system for all my work requiring portable strobes. I've shot with Q-Flash since 1994 and have used the Radio Slave 4 since late 1980's. So, yes, I know this system and have tried every fix possible. A good solid performer for basic performance.
I love Quantum's Products as I use them exclusively inmy business. They are always dead on in exposure. And in power over your normal on camera flashes. They may be pricey but they are truly without a doubt the best out there. Their portable versatility is priceless. Get one for yourself and join the many ranks of satiisfied photographers.
This is one awesome flash unit. It can put out all of the light that you may need for any shoot that you may have. It's like having a studio unit mounted to your camera and with the soft diffuser in front of the flash it's like having a soft box on your camera as well. I have three of these units and will buy two or three more. It's just a really great flash unit!!!
