It's got a good sound and it's a great product, light, just as pictured, easy to use, the only issue I had with it is that it doesn't pick up sound as well as the others I have. If I pull back even the tiniest bit it doesn't catch that and I end up having to put it closer to my mouth than I am used to.

If a products weight is an indication of it's quality then I should have been worried the second the package arrived. Instead I had faith in it and took it to a trivia show where the loudest it would get would let a restless baby sleep. I was fortunate to have my partner's spare with me and used that. Don't buy this.

I put this through a test of different instruments to see how it did. I mainly thought the capsule would go but after the test it still sounds as it did new. I put it on a Marshall dsl40c, a 40watt fender rad bass, a snare and a kick (14” snare and 22” kick). The volume on the mic is a little low so I had to boost it but it sounded great for $6 on all of them. It was a little dead on the snare and Marshall and the frequency range is strictly small (cutting off at 60hz or so and 13khz instead of the posted 50hz and 15khz) so it killed a lot of the range but that came useful on bass and kick where I wanted the >40 gone or lower. It did best with kick and bass for sure. I’m still not sure if it will replace any regular mics but I’ll keep it on hand for future use. If you need a mic asap (getting it literally the next day) and you don’t care about the cost I’d grab one!!!!Read full review

I have purchased several of these microphones. I use them to construct and fix other microphones as well as to amplify and record audio. If you are intending to use this for serious production recording, you have purchased the wrong microphone. However, this microphone is great for spoken word, amature karaoke, auctioneering, or applications where using an expensive mic would be likely to be damaged. The good: the element of the microphone is sensitive yet forgiving, it is not an awful sounding microphone and the element makes for a cheap installaton for experimental microphones. The cap of the microphone also allows multidirectional pickup. The bad:the housing is cheap light plastic and the switch is less than great. The connector hasnt given me any trouble but give it time and heavy use and I expect it eventually will. The included cable is not great by any means but works, I would recommend an xlr to xlr cable. Overall the mic is definately worth the price but not for serious applications.Read full review
Do NOT USE the Cord it comes with or any other Balanced Mic cable..... I have a little knowledge {A Little Knowledge Can Be Dangerous.} on ohms Law and the impedence values And I had a feeling that what Another Reviewer had wrote about Balanced cables and UnBalanced cables was CORRECT!!! So, I ordered an UnBalanced cable And Hocus Pocus.... It works really flipping WELL!!!! So, If you are on a Shoestring Budget, this $6 - $7 dollar Mic and an UnBalanced Cable that is about $10 Bucks... and you got yourself a Really Good Mic for Under $20 Bucks. Pretty Impressive!!
