I love my Sega Saturn. It entered our marriage like a second wife and I still play it today. I have more cash at my disposal now than when Saturn was a current-gen console and I was a kid which means I get to play games now that I never got the chance to. This game came up cheap here in eBay and I bought it to add to my current collection. I own 3 other pinball games (Necronomicon, Last Gladiators, True Pinball) and still have 2 others to collect - Digital Pinball, Tilt. Even though it is not the best Pinball Game on the Saturn, it is still good. My favourite game of the collection is Necronomicon mostly due to the physics of the ball and the tables available. This has good physics and good tables but that is all it is - good. Not great. Necronomicon has a much darker tone and the physics are simply much better and realistic. I love pinball games a lot and the Saturn has its fair share of them. It's as good as True Pinball but better Last Gladiators. True pinball has one or two better tables but the physics are not as good. We take Pinball games a lot now for granted as they are starting to become not as common in current-gen consoles and the physics engines back then were mostly pretty bad up until circa 1995. The Sega Saturn's collection of Pinball games changed this as the technology had improved enough to really emulate a good feel to ball and reaction times needed that previous gen consoles did not. You used to get Pinball games in earlier consoles, roll your eyes and wait for the onslaught that was generally a poor game. But games like this are not like that at all. The one thing that just about EVERY Pinball game on the Saturn (that I own thus far) has a shortfall no matter how great might be, is the lack of tables. The sound is kinda generic but apart from Necronomicon (which featured music from Dream Theatre), I have yet to play any other Pinball game with spectacular music. It still plays well and it goes for a realistic vibe with no gadgets or living enemies you might find in other games to detract from the game. If you're wondering if it is worth adding to your Saturn collection? Yes it is. Definitely.Read full review
Own a Sega Saturn? Enjoy pinball? Well now you can enjoy pinball on your Sega Saturn! It’s a virtual pinball table with a high streak for realism...it even says so on the cover! For those that own a Playstation, this game was ported to there as well.
