These add just the right amount of capacity to your presto dehydrator without compromising the quality of the food. I would advise re-stacking the trays halfway through your dehydration batch, (putting the top trays at the bottom and vice-versa) to get an even dryness in all your food in the same time period. The only downside to these for me is actually my kitchen sink size. Presto trays are about 1.75 inches too big across to fully submerge in hot soapy water in my kitchen sink...That said, I wouldn’t want the trays to be any smaller, or I’d lose precious dehydrator capacity; the very thing I bought these trays for. All in all, they work great and they clean up fairly easily.

The addition fo two more trays, bringing the total to eight, allows me to process enough pears in one batch to supply for a week my two sisters and myself, without having to do two separate batches. And now that this year looks to be a bumper crop of persimmon (no doubt due to the record rain fall of last season), I will have a constant supply of dried persimmon for family and neighbors.
