The monitor station unit puts tremendous drain on volume from the source (interface). I have to turn up the volume almost all the way up on both the monitor station and the interface units in order to get sufficient listening volume through my monitor speakers which are almost all the way up, also. Prior to hooking up the monitor station, I only needed a small amount of gain on the interface and the speakers to achieve sufficient listening levels. I could not get the talkback channel to work either. I used a dynamic mic (since there was no phantom power supply), but to no avail. It appeared that there was an on board mic but, that didn't seem to work either.
