Even though the IMEI checks out and this is supposed to work on the Sprint network, it will not activate on Twigby (which uses Sprint network). There is an "activation" option on the phone that does not allow for manual updates of the Profile or the PRL. It was a great price but a waste of money

The phone was apparently to old to work on the Sprint network and I had to buy a new smartphone and recycle this one. The phone would be fine as a media device, if you did not mind a little bit slower phone.

i got if for the qwerty keyboard. the key size is good, your fingers can easily hit the right keys EXCEPT the TOP ROW where your finger hit the edge of the screen display when the keyboard is opened and you are typing.
This is a great phone, but... I am in shock over the prices being asked and PAID?? here! I bought mine for $50. at Amazon, and a second one later for $70. after they went back up a couple of months later. Now they are still around $70. and I see some ridiculous robbery prices here on ebay. Unable to comprehend how anyone could pay 4 -5 times the price for something on ebay when it is normally priced elsewhere. Some people must be shopping masochists, or very easily separated from their $. Sad.
I love The Kyocera Rise. This is my second time getting this phone, the other ones power button broke after 2 years. A two year life expectancy for a phone this cheep is good value in my opinion. Every thing else on it runs good. Its processor isn't the fastest and it lags on occasion but that's to be expected of the low end. For its price, I don't think you can find a better phone. I paid 21.11 + 6.00 shipping for it.
