Looking for low cost bookshelf speakers. I compared 4 sets of bookshelf speakers. All were tested through a Vintage Pioneer SX-780. Keep in mind these are all low cost speakers. In order of Least Liked to Best. - Boston Acoustics Micro 120x - Polk Audio T15 - JBL E20 - Polk Audio RTI A1 - sounded full, nice base for these size speakers, well built. The RTI A1's were the best and I got a really good deal on these. Since the Pioneer SX-780 doesn't have a Mid-Range control, the RTI A1's sounded very good Mid-Range compared to the others. JBL's sounded close, but RTI's had a much better high's and mid-range. Least like was the Boston Acoustics.

I now own two pairs of this brand of speaker. This particular speaker can either be wall mounted or set on a book shelf so I use both type of mounting conditions.

Bookshelves that can play nicely for the price. These are not B&W, or paradigm. or other expensive 500+ speakers, they are just good speakers for home theatre. This is the 2nd set & I'll edit the review next week, comparing them to the Wharefdale diamond 10.2's I have as mains in my 7.2 denon setup.
